  • PHP (version 4.2.x)

Mambo templates were tested with several hosting environments like Windows/XP/NT/2000, Linux, FreeBSD and MacOS X. Specialists recommend using Mambo templates and CMS at BSD or Linux environments, though any environment that meets 3 requirements above will be fine. PHP need to be compiled with support for Zlib and MySQL so that Mambo templates and Content Management System would work properly on the host. Mambo templates are properly displayed in the majority of browsers including Mozilla, Opera, Netscape and IE (versions 5.5+).

In order to use Mambo on your host, it should have such features:

  • Apache (version 1.3.19)
  • MySQL (version 3.23.x)
  • PHP (version 4.2.x)

Please note that PHP on the host must support MySQL and Zlib in order to run Mambo on the hosting environment. Mambo templates and CMS were thoroughly tested on Windows NT/2000/XP, Linux and MacOS X, FreeBSD hosting environments and it was stated that Mambo will work on any hosting environment that matches three requirements above, though some specialists insist on using Mambo templates and CMS on Linux or FreeBSD only.
