Every your post is filed into various categories. Information displayed in Category blocks is presented in post meta data section in the sidebar, under the heading title and near your posts. Although, various WordPress Themes mark section with post meta data in various areas.
You are able to choose how your categories will be displayed due to the template tag the_category(). In order to find this template tag, browse through your index.php files and look for <?php the_category() ?> tag. By default, the list of categories is displayed with spaces between each category. If you want to change this, you should add parameters inside the tag. You may separate categories with commas, arrows, bullets, pipes and others:
<?php the_category(',') ?> and your categories will be separated with commas.
Replace comma with an arrow to separate your categories with arrows
<?php the_category(' > ') ?>
And with this code <?php the_category(' | ') ?> you will get your categories separated with pipes.
Nevertheless, you can also separate your categories with some text or words:
<p>Find related subjects in the <?php the_category(' and ') ?> categories.</p>
In this way, your categories will be separated with 'AND'. If you replace 'AND' with 'OR', your categories will be separated with or word.
