Flash-Tutorials, Flash Templates - Editing
After you’ve created a new frame or a keyframe, you can move it to another place of the current layer or into another layer, remove it and perform other changes with it.
Only keyframes are available for editing
* You can view the content of frames within a sequence of tweened animation, but you can not edit it directly.
* You can edit frames inside the tweened animation sequence only by changing the content of one of the keyframe from this sequence or by adding new keyframes between the keyframes of starting and ending of animation.
* You can turn on the onion-skinning to display and edit the content of more than one frame at the same time.
To edit a frame or a keyframe do the following:
To copy the frame and its content, select the frame or sequence of frames (even within several layers), and select from the menu Edit / Copy Frames.
To place the copied frames elsewhere in animation (or not in animation, or even inside of one of the symbols) select the frame which pasting starts from or the sequence of frames to be replaced in the process of pasting and select from the menu Edit / Paste Frames.
To move frames and its content, select the frame in time-line or the sequence of frames and drag them to the desired place in the time-line.
To change the length of animated sequence, drag the first or last keyframe to the right or left. To change the length of the animated sequence in frame-by-frame animation, we change the difference in the content of neighboring keyframes at its creation (to reduce the speed of this type of animation without changing the global parameters of movie (frame frequency) you can insert after each (or not after each) keyframe a simple frame).
To add a new frame in the animation you can go to Insert / Frame, and you can hit F5
To remove unnecessary frames, select a frame or sequence of frames, and then right click in the selected frames, and select Delete Frame from the context menu. To create a new blank keyframe select Insert / Blank Keyframe (F7)
To change the direction of animation select the sequence of frames in one or more layers, and select from the menu Modify / Frames / Reverse. At the beginning and end of this sequence there should be the keyframes.
To convert a keyframe into the ordinary one, select the keyframe, and then Edit / Clear Keyframe. In doing so, the content of this frame will be replaced by the content of the previous keyframe.
