Flash-Tutorials, Flash Templates - Data Export - Export Image
Export Image exports the content of the current frame or of the selected image into one of the image formats or into the frame of the Flash clip. When you export the Flash image as a vector - graphic file (illustrator), you are saving its vector data.
You can edit these files in other vector - oriented programs, but you can not import those images into most word processing programs and markup pages. When you save the Flash image as a bitmap GIF, JPEG, PICT (Macintosh), or BMP file (Windows), the image loses its vector data and saves only pixel information.
You can edit Flash images exported as dotted images at image editors like Photoshop, but you can no longer edit them in a vector - oriented programs.
