Flash Templates Tutorials - Objects
Flash allows you to move, transform, align, change the order in the deck and group the objects. While changing lines and rounds, you can make the necessary changes to the other lines and rounds in the same layer at once.
Selection of objects: you select an object in order to change it. Flash provides various ways of selection. Selection of lines and filled rounds doesn’t stand for the selection of groups, images, text. Flash doesn’t show the selected lines and filled rounds the same as selected images and groups. Fillings and lines are selected by the shading. The selected groups and filled rounds are concluded into the so called quadrangle. One can select elements with the help of tools like ‘move’ and ‘lasso’. In order to add the selection, select the additional object while pressing Shift. In order to select everything, select Edit – Select All or press Ctrl+A (Windows) or Command+A (Macintosh). Select All doesn’t select objects at the closed or hidden layers. In order to remove all selections, select Edit – Deselect All or press Control+Shift+A (Windows) or Command+Shift+A (Macintosh). In order to select everything in one layer between two key frames, click on the frame in the Timeline. In order to prevent the accidental selection or changing of groups or symbols, select the object and then click Modify – Arrange – Lock. Select Modify – Arrange – Unlock All in order to open all the closed groups and symbols.
‘Move’ tool usage – for selection of all objects by clicking them or by moving them in order to conduct them into the right-angled area of selection. Note: you can also press A to select ‘Move’ tool. Temporary switching to ‘Move’ when the other tool is enabled is performed by pressing Control button (Windows) or Command (Macintosh) along with A button. In order to select a line, round, group, image or printing box, select ‘Move’ tool and click the object. In order to select the joined lines, select ‘Move’ and double click on one of the lines. In order to select the filled round and its shaded outlines, select ‘Move’ and double click on the filling. To select the objects as a right-angled area, select ‘Move’ and select the objects by dragging mouse cursor diagonally of the rectangle of the desired size. Images, groups and text blocks should be concluded into this rectangle fully otherwise they won’t be selected.
‘Lasso’ tool usage – and its modifier, polygonal lasso, for objects selection by means of drawing a selection area by hand or line string. While using Lasso, you can switch between modes of free selection by hand and selection by line string. In order to select objects by drawing selection area by hand, select Lasso and drag the mouse cursor around the area you want to select. Finish the selection line at the same place you have started at or allow Flash to close the selection area with the straight line automatically. Objects selection by drawing a line string: select Lasso and turn the polygonal modifier on, click the start point, place the cursor at where you want the first section to be finished and click, repeat this process for other sections, finish the selection by double click. To draw the selection area by hand, simply drag the mouse cursor along the scene. In order to draw a string section, press Alt (Windows) or Option (Macintosh) and press to set the beginning and end of the segment. You can continue switching between these modes. In order to paint the selection area, if you are drawing the segment by hand – simply set the mouse button free; if you are drawing a string segment – double click with the mouse.
