Gradient tab at Colors window displays all created gradients. Gradient is a main transition between 2 or more (up to 16) colors. The transition may be in linear bands, or in concentric circles. Any color in the gradient may also contain some transparency.
Creating or editing gradient:
Click the button on the top of the box Fill Color of Paint bucket tool, or in a window Line Color of the tool Ink bottle or select from the menu Window / Colors. To create a new gradient, select the available gradient in the palette to use it as a starting point and click New.
To edit gradient, select Edit / Radial or Linear gradient from the popup list of. Add a pointer at the determining gradient area, dragging it on the left side of the gradient field; delete the pointer by moving it from the determining gradient area in any direction. Color pointers determine where the colors are changing in the gradient. Click color selection button located above the Change button and select a color for the transition. Both the pointer in the determining gradient area and this button are modified with the color that you have selected. Use Alpha slider to set the degree of transparency from 0 to complete transparency till 99 for some transparency (100 completely opaque). Each color in the gradient can have its own Alpha value. Select and then set the necessary settings for the rest of colored pointers in determining gradient area. Click Change.
