How to Use PaintBucket Tool
PaintBucket tool is located in the tools panel and its icon looks like a bucket being grouped with the Gradient tool. PaintBucket tool fills with selected color the areas that you click on and the areas that contain pixels of the same or similar color. Paint bucket is used to paint the areas of the same color.
This tool has just a few settings that sufficiently affect its work. All of them are located in the Options palette. The Fill option sets what the selected areas will be filled with: the foreground color or the pattern. You can choose desired color or pattern there.
Mode option sets the way filling is combined with the image background.
Opacity obviously sets the opacity of the fill.
Tolerance sets the rage of colors that are considered the same and replaced with the PaintBucket tool.
Anti-aliased option allows evening out the shapes.
Contiguous option lets the PaintBucket tool fill the adjoining areas only
