Search Engine Optimization Part 1

by Admin | post a comment

I would like to tell you more you about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Is Search Engine Optimization available for sites built with templates?
Of course it is! The fact that you have built your website using pre-designed website template does not mean that you can not make it a popular and outstanding web source.
I would divide the Search Engine Optimization for the sites built with the templates in two parts: internal and external optimization.

In this part we'll speak of internal Search Engine Optimization. I call it this way because these are the list of things you can do when customizing your template or ask us to do during the template customization.

Part 1. Editing the page text.
Your site must have rich exclusive text content. It should not be copy-pasted from any other source on the internet or be identical to it. The site should have 2-20 kB of text on its pages in order for the search engine to accept this as a rich content. 2-20 kB of text is about 800 to 3500 of words. The sites are found in search engines by keywords that are entered by users. So think of several or more keywords that your site can be found by. The density of the keywords in your text should be equal to 7%, which means the percentage of each keywords presence compared to all the words on the site (100%). Try to use keywords more often in the beginning of the text rather then in the end. Enter the values for the Description tag in the page source code. Keywords and text entered in this tag is what Google for example displays this information on the search results page along with the link to your page. Using keyword(s) in the name of the HTML file of the page will be useful too.

I will end my story for now. Be on the lookout for news articles on this topic soon, possibly tomorrow.
