Search Engine Optimization Part 7

by Admin | post a comment

SEO For HTML Templates

After you have selected the desired keywords for customizing your HTML template as it was discussed in Part 5 you can move one to the next step. Lets suppose you chose the following keywords to start with:
1.Bodybuilding guide
2.Bodybuilding story
3.Safe bodybuilding

We need to include the keywords into the page title and the header and below I will tell you how to do this correctly.
The less words you enter in the title the higher they will be rated by Google. So it is not an option to enter "Welcome to our Website" text for the page title if you want to optimize the HTML template for the search engine. The best option would to have three keywords selected only. You can enter "Bodybuilding guide and bodybuilding story and safe bodybuilding", but the best choice would be as follows: "bodybuilding guide | safe bodybuilding story". As you can see I have used the "|" symbol instead of "and" word or even the comma symbol and I have combined two keywords together. Always combine the keywords if possible to achieve higher rank from Google or other search engines.

As for the HTML template header text, you must place the text within H1 tags as close to the top left of your site as possible, because the search engines start indexing the site content from top left to the bottom right.
Try to include only your main keyword in the header or use your main keyword combined with one more as it was shown above. In our sample case the best option would be "Safe bodybuilding guide".
You should also use H2 tag somewhere between the top and the middle of the page including the second best keyword selected for the site.

Further on well tell you some more secrets on customizing your HTML template.
